GA4 enhanced ecommerce
GA4 on Shopify usually reports pageviews and little else, which means every decision made from it is a guess. This maps the full ecommerce event set and validates each one actually fires with the right payload.
What’s included
- Map the full ecommerce event set to your funnel
- Implement every event with correct item-level parameters
- Validate each one fires with the right payload, in DebugView
- Configure conversions and key reports
Not included
- Server-side tracking, which is a separate task
- Historic data backfill
- Ongoing reporting or analysis
Anything on the right is still something we do — it is simply a separate task, quoted separately, so this one keeps a fixed scope and a fixed price.
When it is done, you will have
- 1A working GA4 ecommerce setup
- 2An event map document your team can maintain
- 3Validation evidence per event
Before we start, we will need
- Collaborator access to your Shopify admin
- A sentence or a screenshot describing what you want
Questions people ask first
My GA4 numbers do not match Shopify. Will this fix that?
It will get them much closer and, more importantly, it will tell you why they differ. They will never match exactly — GA4 depends on client-side tracking that ad blockers and consent choices interrupt, which is the argument for server-side tracking.
