CFG-01·3D configurators

3D configurator proof of concept

Before anyone signs off a full configurator build, it helps to hold one. We take a single product of yours, wire up one meaningful set of options, and give you a working 3D configurator on a link you can send round — real geometry, real option switching, priced against your real variants.

Large task · 6–12 hours2–4 working daysProduct page

What’s included

  • One product, one option group — a material, a colorway, or a size run
  • Real-time 3D in the browser, no page reload between options
  • Live price tied to your actual Shopify variant pricing
  • A shareable staging link that works on desktop and mobile
  • A written path to production, with what a full build would involve

Not included

  • Modeling a product from scratch where no 3D asset exists — we will quote that separately after looking at it
  • Cart, order and packing slip handoff, which is a production concern and its own task
  • AR preview, option dependency rules, and multi-product rollout

Anything on the right is still something we do — it is simply a separate task, quoted separately, so this one keeps a fixed scope and a fixed price.

When it is done, you will have

  • 1A working configurator on a private link
  • 2The prepared 3D asset, kept for the full build if you go ahead
  • 3A scoping note covering option rules, cart handoff and asset needs

Before we start, we will need

  • A 3D model, CAD file, or the product itself so we can advise on modeling
  • The options you want to demonstrate, and their variant pricing

Questions people ask first

I do not have a 3D model. Can you still do this?

Sometimes. If you have CAD from manufacturing, we can usually work from it. If you have nothing, modeling is a separate quoted piece — send us photographs and dimensions and we will tell you what it would take before you commit to anything.

Is this the same as the demos on your site?

It is built with the same engine as the twenty-four configurators in our public gallery, using your product instead of ours. That gallery is the fastest way to judge the quality before you spend anything.

What happens if we go ahead with the full build?

The proof of concept is not thrown away — the prepared asset and the option model carry straight into production. We credit the scoping work into the full build quote.
